IRS Debt Help Five Best Strategies
Help is available and there are several different strategies available to you that you can use to eliminate the bill that you owe to the internal revenue service.
Strategy #1 - Going with an IRS Offer in Compromise
One of the strategies available to you if you are in need of irs debt help is to go with an Offer in Compromise. This is a problem where you can do some negotiation to try to settle the debts that you have for less than the total amount of money that you owe to the IRS.
While you probably won't get total tax debt forgiveness, you can get a pretty good reduction on the amount you owe, making it much easier for you to pay off this account that you owe and getting the Internal Revenue Service off your back.
Strategy #2 - Monthly Installments IRS Payment Plan
Another strategy you can use for IRS tax relief is coming up with an agreement that allows you to pay on the account in monthly installments. Basically this is a payment play that allows you to slowly pay off the account that you owe over time.
More than likely if you go with this agreement, you'll end up paying the pre tax cost of debts, so you don't really get a break on the taxes, but you are able to have more time to pay these debts off completely.
Strategy #3 - Partial Payment In Installments Reduce IRS Bills
Partial payment in installments is one of the newer strategies available if you need help. This options doesn't give you total tax forgiveness either, but it does allow you to pay off the bill you have at an amount that is reduced on a monthly basis.
Instead of having to pay the sum in a lump sum like you have to with an IRS Offer in Compromise, you have the ability to pay the reduced amount over time, making it much easier for you to afford paying off this account to the Internal Revenue Service.
Strategy #4 - Not Currently Collectible IRS Cancellation of Debts
Not Currently Collectible is another options that you may be able to use if you need help. This is a problem that allows you to put off payment to the Internal Revenue Service. Basically the internal revenue service agrees that they won't collect on the bill you owe for a year or more.
Usually this is based on financial need. You usually have to prove that the cost of living for you is more than the money you bring in.
Strategy #5 - IRS Bankruptcy
Last of all, bankruptcy can provide you with the help that you need. You may be able to get the tax discharged if you file either Chapter 13 or Chapter 7 bankruptcy. However, this is usually the last resort.
As you can see, there is definitely IRS debt help available to you today. You don't have to continue to feel overwhelmed by the bills you're dealing with. More than likely you can use one of these strategies to be free of the Internal Revenue Service for good.
